Spring 2017 Connect Groups at the Embassy are underway, and its not too late to join! We would absolutely love to build relationships with you. All we ask is you fill out the information below and select the groups you are interested in!

Connect Group Summaries

Sold Out to Jesus 

This connect group is a Francis Chan study of Philippians 3, which looks at how suffering can be a blessing and how this suffering can bring us into a closer relationship with God. 

Leaders: Renee Lea & Claire Pypker

Meeting Days/Time: Every other Wednesday at 7:30pm

Craft Therapy

In this do-it-yourself connect group, we will be meeting every other week to get creative and do hands-on activities while developing and deepening relationships with others in the church. The leaders of this group will prepare a different craft for each day, and will supply most of the materials. You may also be asked to bring a particular material to complete the craft. To cover the cost of supplies we ask that each person bring $2 every time they participate.

Your Story

The purpose of this women-focused connect group is to share and talk about the importance of each person's testimony. Sharing our story with others is our most important tool we have and brings immense glory to God.

Dig Deep 

If you struggle to read your Bible daily, this connect group is all about accountability to help you in your devotional time. Beginning in 1 Corinthians, everyone will read the same chapters over the week and we will meet to share what we learned and what we understood.

Outdoor Locomotion Group

This is a connect group for people who want to hang out and roam KW on our manual modes of transportation, whether that be longboards, skateboards, roller blades, scooters, or bikes. The goal of this group is to grow in community together as we explore and experience the city that God has called us to reach. 

Leaders: Brandon Sanders & Amarachi Ifeanyi-Okoro

Meeting Days/Time: Every other Saturday at 4pm

Location: Waterloo 

Community Outreach - OneROOF 

OneROOF is a youth drop in centre for youth who are currently experiencing or are at risk of homelessness. We go to OneROOF as a small team to make dinner at the drop in centre for the youth, eat with them, and do prgramming, ranging from cookie decorating, playing board games, art, or just talking with them. Our vision is to grow as a community in faith and service as we help to grow the community of KW.

Embassy Radio One

This group is a place for anyone excited about music to hang, talk music, eat food, and connect! Each week will have a different music genre and playlist. If you're a musician, producer, music enthusiast, or you're just looking to expand your music taste, this is the group for you.

Life is ____. How would you finish that sentence? This book study will read and discuss ways that God calls us to live in the easy to read yet profound wisdom from Judah Smith.

Heart & Home

The purpose of this group is to offer a place for people to be welcomed home, relax, have fun, and build friendships. Come join us for food, games, chats, movies and more! New friends are always welcome each week.

MIII - Mind, Muscle, Mentors

This is a men's group focused on having conversations about self-improvement in both physical and mental health and fitness. MII is a place where guys can help each other develop better strategies to tackle everything that life throws at us. This is a pretty casually laid out group, and what actually happens on these nights will vary based on who's there and what the conversations stem into.
